Faye Godson

I set up my own business at 22 and never looked back. I have been passionate about animals since I can remember. I grew up in a village on a small holding. At 16 I started Dog walking the neighbour’s dogs and had two of my own, from their dogs became a huge part of my life. Doing my degree confirmed I was heading in the right direction. I trained a chicken as part of my course work (Click here for video), I had lots of fun doing so! When I attended the Victoria Stillwell Dog Training Academy and passed with distinction, it was a dream come true. Gaining skills and knowledge from my childhood dog training idol (Victoria Stilwell – ‘It’s me or the dog’) was a fantastic experience. I thrive off extending my knowledge and regularly go to conferences and workshops. I keep up to date with new science and training techniques. When possible I will volunteer, I have had the opportunity to do this in a variety of situations. I volunteered at H.A.W.T. animal rescue for two years, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience working with dogs, cats and small fury’s. Hearing dogs for deaf people are another organisation I had the opportunity to volunteer with. I spent 2 weeks helping care for the dogs, clean their kennels, exercise them. I also got to observe many aspects of their training. Spending two days with the police dogs were very memorable. I got to observe the tracking, bite work and scent work in a variety of areas, indoors and out.

Carol Godson

Carol, my mum, grew up on a farm. She was always surrounded by dogs, cats, cows and many other animals. There has never been a point where Carol has not had pets. Carol is a natural and very experienced with animals. They always bond with mum straight away. She loves dog walking, solo and group walks. She also does dog sitting in our home. My mum also assists in dog training when needed. I am lucky to share a passion with her and have her by my side.

Claire Strawbridge

Claire is very animal orientated and loves spending time with them. Outdoors is where she spends most of her time. She grew up with cats and dogs and enjoyed training her golden retriever Tiffany. Due to Claire’s work life she was unable to have a pet as she was away a lot. Claire had a lifestyle change which enabled her to bring Willow into her home. Willow is Claire’s beloved family dog, a Hungarian Vizsla, she is the centre of Claire’s world. Claire is a natural with the animals at Positive Pets and loves tailoring walks to fit their own individual loves in life. I worked with Claire when Willow was a puppy, we did training together, and this is when I spotted her natural flare and connection with dogs.
